The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) is the largest boat show in the world. The St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show offers a greater selection of sailing options. The shows exhibit the industry’s latest boats and marine products to enhance the nautical lifestyle.
The Campaign: Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
For its 60th anniversary, FLIBS wanted its 2019 promotional campaign the marketing team approached us to create more memorable, iconic images.
While we were limited to the provided photography, we saw great opportunities with what we could do with the water. Our 2019 “Splash” concept was so popular that in 2020 we were asked to update the same concept. Staying true to the original campaign, we shifted to a black backdrop to add a sense of drama and luxury while enhancing the water with a spectrum of colors to add a bit of dazzle.
The Campaign: St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show
To highlight a more natural aesthetic, we paired the boats with seashells that complimented the shape and design of each boat as it served to frame the scene.
The Campaign: Palm Beach International Boat Show
In 2021, we were asked to design this boat show’s print advertising campaign, as well as redesigning its logo. Our take on both projects was emphasizing the presence of the palms, allowing the shapes of the fronds to reflect the visual patterns of ripples and ocean waves. Letting the yachts follow the tapering shapes of the palms also gives forward momentum, and the introduction of bright colors adds a bit of fun to the sophistication.
